Firstly, and most importantly, on May 29, 2010, I got married to Mary, who has made me the luckiest human in history!

Now…

Hi there!  My name is Davis Harwell and I’m the Founder and Chief Music-Maker at Davis Harwell Music.  Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of putting music to film.  I’ve always been fascinated by how a score can make what’s happening on the screen completely unique and profound.

I hold a music degree from Indiana University’s prestigious Jacobs School of Music (Go Hoosiers!), and I have been professionally composing and performing music since 2002.  In 2007, I founded Davis Harwell Music with the mission to make stories come alive by composing musical scores that inspire the heart, challenge ideas and capture the imagination.

Some of my favorite music is by Johannes Brahms, John Williams, Sleeping At Last, Hans Zimmer, Richard Wagner, Michael Kamen, Aaron Copland, Jerry Goldsmith, Explosions in the Sky, James Horner, Jonsi, Alan Silvestri, and Hammock (just to name a few!).
